David was born in Toronto, Ontario. In 2006, he acquired a specialist B. Sc. from the University of Toronto. He received his Ph.D. at York University in 2013 working with Prof. Arturo Orellana on the development of new synthetic methodologies employing cyclopropanol derived palladium homoenolates as reactive intermediates.

 

His current research involves the design and development of novel small molecule inhibitors of the STAT3 and STAT5 protein complexes.
